| Preferences.When printing or copy to the clipboard the output format can be adjusted. The preference window is found using the Preference in the APASview file menu. In the Snapshot option it is possible to choose the output format (clipboard, printer or file), when taking a complete snapshot of the program.
The General option is used to set the time interval between data samples. If fx. Data is loaded from text files where no information about sampling rate is extracted, this option can be set to the time interval between the data samples.
Stickfigure marker type - This option can be helpful in some computer systems where the video display creat problems displaying the joint markers as circles.
GlossaryNumerical data NumericalData is a collection of real numbers normally generated by calculation programs, spread sheets or other mathematical programs. Text file Text File is a file readable with a text editor. The numerical data are aligned with spaces, carriage return, semicolons or other kinds of separators. Binnary file Binary file is a special file format not readable with a text editor. Normally this kind of file is generated with a programming tool like Pascal, C or FORTRAN. Rectification Rectification is the transformation of alternating current into direct current. AVI file AVI file contains movie and audio data. In the APAS system AVI files are used to digitise human movement. Canvas Canvas is the main surface area of a windows program or a client window. EMG EMG is the electrical signals derived from muscles contracting. Project A project contains the configuration of all windows displayed on the canvas. It can be stored to disk for future use and modification. Stick figure Stick figure is marker trajectories connected in segments creating a simplification of the human body or part of it. Speedbutton A speed button is a small button designed for speeding up the use of a program. A short note indicating what the speed buttons is designed for will pop up when leaving the mouse cursor on a speedbutton.
