ACES - Frequently asked questions
Listed below are
Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Ariel Computerized Exercise Systems
(CES).
Q. How often should
the Ariel CES be calibrated?
A. Assuming there are no hardware or
software changes to the CES system, the calibration should remain accurate for
long periods of time (up to several years). It is recommended to perform
calibration checks on a regular basis. The more the system is used, the more
often the calibration should be checked. Under normal circumstances, a monthly
check should be more than enough.
Q. The calibration
file has become corrupted. How can I fix this?
A. All Ariel CES machines are
calibrated prior to delivery. Copies of the calibration files can be found on
the last drive partition and also on the ARIEL CES CD-ROM.
Q. The Force/Torque
values are accurate for the Down direction, but seem to be inaccurate for
the Up direction.
A. Calibrate the CES and make certain
that the Calculate Up From Down option is selected.
